Chewin' cud for the holidays!
Well folks, it's that time again! Given this year's holiday schedule, we've closed our online store until January 2026 (our usual Wednesday/Thursday delivery schedule just won't work with when the holidays fall). We still intend to go to all our regular farmers markets, but please note the following changes:
- Evergreen Brickworks Market will not run Saturday December 27th
- Sorauren Farmers Market is on break until January 3, 2026
- Leslieville Farmers Market is on winter break until March 1, 2026
- Weather is screwy this time of year, and we will occasionally miss a market if the roads are bad. But please know we always want to be there!
If you are a store or restaurant in serious and desperate need, you can email Ruth at ruth@monfortedairy.com and we can try and arrange a pickup at one of our markets. Bear with us!

Delivery
We have finally found the perfect company to help get our cheese to you: Indie Food. Based in downtown Toronto, Indie provides both distribution and home delivery and their service area is growing every day. Please note the following:
- There is a flat rate of $20 per delivery (outside of Stratford)
- We request a $30 minimum order for deliveries
- Orders placed by Tuesday at midnight should be delivered by Thursday or Friday of the same week (because Indie collects orders from the dairy on Wednesday, late orders will have to be processed the following week)

Pickup Locations
If you prefer to come to us and save on delivery fees--that's great! Simply choose from the list of pick-up locations at checkout. We currently offer pick-up from the dairy in Stratford, and any of our weekly farmers markets (you can find the list here if you want to see options before checkout).

NEW Pricing by Unit
Please note that with all of our focus on making the best cheese we can, many of our products will now be priced by unit rather than by weight. This is a little scary, but it will really help us manage our inventory, focus on consistency, and it should make payments and billing easier for everybody. Simply click on a product page to get typical weights and prices.
This also means that the total in your cart should be the total amount due--even for wholesale orders--so you can pay online immediately if you like. No matter how you pay, we will followup with an invoice which will include batch numbers of each product--important for tracking.

E-transfer Info
Many of you have chosen to e-transfer your payment, which has been a great way for us to do business and save money on processing fees. Here are a few important notes:
- E-transfers should be sent to ruth@monfortedairy.com (folks sometimes add an extra ‘t’ in there somewhere, so do copy and paste if that helps :)
- We have set up auto-deposit, so you won’t be asked to provide a question and answer.
- Having trouble? Give us a call at 519-814-7920 and we can arrange payment by cash, cheque, or credit card, if you need.
